How would you rate Kid Kitsune's interview out of 10?
Behind The Curtain Episode 3: Kid Kitsune (19th April 2020)
* To be worked on by Aid and Max Thomas *
Unknown music starts to play
Then the words "Behind The Curtain" appears in red
"The" below "Behind" and "Curtain" below "The"
The words disappear five seconds later
Sandra Evans is then seen sitting down on a chair with Kid Kitsune sitting next to Sandra's left
Kid Kitsune has her mask on
They appear to be in a place where Kid Kitsune has done a lot of her training
Sandra Evans: Good evening everyone.
And welcome to the third episode.
Of Ring Of Glory's new show.
Behind The Curtain.
And guest number for this show.
Is the one.
The only.
Kid Kitsune.
Hello Double K.
And welcome
Kid Kitsune: Thankyou Sandra.
And its a pleasure for me to be here.
In the place where I've done a lot of my training
Sandra Evans: Indeed.
And I want to talk to you about that.
But first, I see you've got your mask on.
Explain to me.
And the people watching this interview.
How important.
And how special.
That mask is to you

Re: Behind The Curtain Episode 3: Kid Kitsune (19th April 2020)
(Ah crap, didn't see this got updated with a date. My bad on that one.)
Kid Kitsune: Well a lot of people already know that in lucha libre, the mask is your identity.
To the point where luchadors of old wouldn't ever take them off publicly.
And these masks get passed down from father to son -a lot- to keep up a family lineage.
Like with Antonio taking on his father El Conquistador's mask.
And while I don't have any family in wrestling, honestly mine hated I chose this path until just a month ago
She laughs for a moment
Kid Kitsune: I was lucky enough to get the blessing of an old luchador that Max introduced me to during my training that was willing to pass his mask down to me.
A name you probably don't remember, Zorro Blanco?
Apparently he never reached a 'mainstream popularity'.
But I wear the White Fox's mask with pride, which, combined with my ethnicity, is where my name came from too
Sandra Evans: Now we know that you were trained by the American Samurai, how exactly did that come to be?
From your perspective
Kid Kitsune: Whew need to go way back to answer that.
I think the first wrestling match I ever saw was one of Max's matches, back when I was... like ten.
It was... a WWI show I think.
I think that's when I got into professional wrestling.
The characters, the fanfare, the theatrics.
Something about it checked every box all at once for me and I knew what I wanted to do with my life.
I started being more athletic, played soccer in high school, did gymnastics, all of that.
Then I saw that the local wrestling school was having a guest trainer.
Max Thomas.
I hesitated for months, wondering if I was good enough to go and try out but I knew that was my moment.
If for nothing else than to meet him in person.
I was, in a class of about thirty that day and the workout was brutal
She laughs, covering her mouth, before continuing
Kid Kitsune: But in the end, I guess I impressed him enough to get some one on one training.
Over the next few months it became three on one, alongside Marcus and Antonio.
We made our debut in the independents, made the right kind of waves, and here we were in Ring of Glory.
Living the dream
Sandra Evans: The training, after the tryouts, was it still as rough?
Kid Kitsune: Oh yeah.
He wasn't holding back for the rookies I can tell you that for a fact.
But it got easier over time
Sandra Evans: What other wrestlers do you say you looked up to?
Kid Kitsune thinks for a few seconds
Kid Kitsune: Early on I'd have to say that Tragedy Reigns and Satin were big inspirations for me.
Unfortunately I don't think either of them still wrestle.
Satin sustaining an injury that, I guess, pushed her to retire.
And Tragedy leaving when her husband stopped.
But Lacey, Eve and Tammy have been incredible teachers since I got into Ring of Glory
Sandra Evans: On the topic of ROG stars.
You've had a lot of contact with many wrestlers here over your year long run.
Care to give your opinion of a few?
Kid Kitsune: Sure Sandra
Sandra Evans: SJ Pandora
Kid Kitsune: I don't think I know where the two of us stand with each other.
We've never had a bad interaction, so I don't think she doesn't like me.
But we don't really go out of our way to talk to each other.
So I don't know exactly.
But she's talented, she has to be given her tag championship history
Sandra Evans: Antonio Montoya
Kid Kitsune: Antonio.
He was always the silent type, even when we were starting out.
I used to think it was just his nature back then, but looking back I don't think he's ever really liked me.
I didn't have a problem with him, not until he concussed Marcus and forced him to retire.
And of course we can't not mention the mask versus mask match we had.
But I don't need to talk about how that whole thing worked out
Kitsune gives a big smile, showing through under her mask
Kid Kitsune: I can respect his lineage, being the son of El Conquistador, but I'm glad I don't have to deal with him anymore
Sandra Evans: Aid
Kid Kitsune: Aid...
Aid's such a nice guy.
Welcomed the three of us into the company and has always been ready and willing to help us learn and grow.
When I wasn't training with Max or Lacey, I train with Aid.
Great guy, definitely deserves everything he's gotten
Sandra Evans: SM Heartbreaker
Kid Kitsune: Heartbreaker's one of those guys that plays behind the scenes more than he does in the ring.
And that's something I don't like personally.
I think we, as wrestlers, should handle our business in the ring, as wrestlers
Sandra Evans: Tammy
Kid Kitsune: Tammy I got off to a rocky start but I think the both of us have gotten pretty close over the last couple seasons.
She's super talented and punches high above her weight, I really respect that about here.
And I was looking forward to her challenging for the women's title, but I guess we'll all have to wait for that
Sandra Evans: Super Girl
Kid Kitsune: You know I haven't really interacted with her too much outside the ring.
She's been nice the couple times we've talked though
Sandra Evans: The answer's pretty obvious, but Max Thomas
Kid Kitsune: Master is my mentor.
I owe everything that I've accomplished to him and his time training me.
The only complaint I could even bring up is the 'undercover Tammy' thing from the match against Evilution.
I really, really wish he would have shared that with the rest of us, but I guess I get his reason.
And it might sound a little selfish, but I'd love to see how I'd do in the ring against him someday, even if I get stomped into the canvas.
I need to talk to him about the ending of his match against Cerano.
I trust him, but I need to be sure
Sandra Evans: Speaking of Evilution and Night of Glory...
Cartwright
Kitsune pauses for several seconds
Kid Kitsune: Cartwright...
The man who ended my partner's career.
The man who tormented all of Ring of Glory.
Honestly I'm glad he's gone.
Well, I thought he was gone at least.
Needless to say I'll be on my toes from now on.
But I was on the team that took him down, and if I have to rise up again.
I'll help take him down again too
Sandra Evans: And heres someone who was also a member of Evilution
Kid Kitsune: Who?
Sandra Evans: Ayumi Hiroshi
Kid Kitsune: Ayumi and I butt heads more than our share between the ropes.
And backstage I've always got the cold shoulder from her.
'Ayumi mad' isn't just a catchphrase I guess.
She laughs a bit.
Sandra Evans: And now here's someone who wasn't a member of Evilution.
The women who took the Glory Women's Championship away from you at the last Pay Per View.
Eve Star
Kid Kitsune: Eve has been a huge inspiration since before I joined Ring of Glory.
Honestly if there was anyone to lose a championship to, it would be Eve.
But don't rest easy on me.
I plan on using my rematch clause to get it back.
Sandra Evans: And I think that's it
Kid Kitsune: Really?
No more names?
Sandra Evans: Correct
Kid Kitsune: You gave me far less names Sandra
Then you gave Aid in his interview
Kitsune and Sandra laugh for a few seconds
Sandra Evans: Well he has been around a lot longer than you have to be fair
Kid Kitsune: That's true
Sandra Evans: We're almost done with this interview.
So to finish it off, do you have any final words that you would like to say?
Kid Kitsune thinks for a few seconds
Kid Kitsune: Never give up on your dreams.
No matter how difficult or unlikely they seem to achieve.
Willpower is an incredible thing and with enough drive, you can do anything you put your mind to
Sandra Evans: Well said
Kid Kitsune: Thankyou
Sandra Evans: You're welcome.
And its been pleasute interviewing you
Sandra looks towards the camera in front
Sandra Evans: And with that, the interview has now ended.
So from Kid Kitsune.
And me Sandra Evans.
Goodbye.
And thankyou for watching
